Access Statement

We are a family run business and aim to cater for the needs of all visitors in our home-based six bedroom bed and breakfast accommodation. The following statement is a summary of our provision. If you have any specific questions please feel free to call us and we will endeavor to help. We are rated by Visit Britain as a 3 star guesthouse.

General

Special requirements should be discussed when making a reservation and all reasonable attempts will be made to meet these.

Exmoor Lodge welcomes disabled guests, but due to the age and layout of the house we are unable to offer accommodation for seriously disabled people, and the space in our bathroom facilities are limited.

Help with luggage is available.

Exmoor Lodge is a non-smoking guesthouse.

Parking

On-road level car parking working on a first-come, first-served basis. One step from road to curb.

Cars may be parked on-road at the front of the building however, the parking is public and therefore parking directly outside the house cannot be guaranteed.

Infrequent public buses at approximately 100 yards for Minehead and Tiverton.

Getting In

Entrance to building via gate, level path to entrance with one step into house.
There is a bell outside the front door to gain initial access.
24-hour access with door key.
Front door is single leaf and 85cm wide.

Pets

Assistance dogs and family pets welcome.

Ground Floor

Lounge/dining room lead off ground floor hallway and are all on the same level.
Dining room has chairs without arms but with firm back support.
Lounge has television with subtitles available.

We have one good sized double en-suite room on this floor. The door is single leaf and 62cm wide. The en-suite shower room is compact and there are no grab rails to either the toilet or shower area.

Stairs

No lift or stair chair.
Solid wood stair railing to first floor.
The staircase to first floor consists of 14 steps.
All hall/landing areas are equipped with emergency lighting, detectors, extinguishers and fire bells.

Bedrooms

There are five first floor bedrooms. Each have:
locks which are standards key operated and not key cards
bedside lamps
audible fire alarms only
central heating which is thermostatically controlled by the guest
emergency procedure instructions in all bedrooms

The en-suite shower rooms are compact and there are no grab rails to either the toilet or shower areas
